Over the years, I have been involved with projects where the client required not just a signed off certificate but the complete V&V matrix. To demonstrate that the project life cycle is complete, I would provide the V&V solution that is tailor-made, however, based on the same principle.
Since the third party often carries out this process, the name will be independent V& V ( I V&V), whereby the client receives impartial service. In doing so, I would provide the client with the complete project overview. Although, not so common when implementing the integrated security solution, it is almost standard for large integrated systems solutions.
In this article, I will highlight definitions and clarify some confusions that I have encountered in the past.
1. Definition
Validation is the process in which a product or system is evaluated at the end of the development process to determine whether the solution meets the customer expectations and requirements.
………………………Are you building the right thing?
Verification is the process in which a product or system is evaluated in the development phase to find out whether it meets the specified requirements.
…………………………Are you building it right?
2. Objective
The main objective of the Verification process is to make sure that the system being developed is as per the requirements and design specifications of the customer, and if it deviates from it, then make it correct in the development phase itself.
On the other hand, the objective of Validation is to make sure that the product developed meets the user’s requirements. If not, then make it to the level of acceptance in the redevelopment phase.

As usual your blogs are well written, well done.
However, beware and bear in mind that "Verification & Validation" or commonly "Certification & Verification" (C&V) are terms used internationally as part of the Quality Management System of projects.
The C&V or V&V will be undertaken by Contractor Team with PMCM to ensure that the "As-Built" deliverables, drawings, QA & QC documents meet the requirements and specifications outlined in the contract for the product construction, materials, workmanship, ITP's, Method Statement's, systems etc.
These will form an integral part of T&C and Handover, they should be aligned with the works packages, Master Deliverables Listing, Sub-Package Deliverables Listings.
